This is the privacy policy for decait.com.au, the website of Deca IT Pty Ltd (ACN 698 030 465 · ABN 46 698 030 465) of 532 City Road, South Melbourne VIC 3205. The short version: this site only knows what you choose to tell us, and what you tell us is treated as ordinary business correspondence.
What we collect
The only personal information this website collects is what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, and your message. There are no accounts, no newsletter, and no marketing list.
The form also contains a hidden field that people never see or fill in. Automated spam does, which is how we recognise and discard it — no information from a genuine enquiry is involved.
Where it goes
When you press send, your enquiry is delivered as an email to our Microsoft 365 mailbox (hello@decait.com.au) using Microsoft's services. From there it's handled like any other business email — read by one of us, replied to, and kept in our Microsoft 365 tenancy.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. The fonts and code are served from our own site, so simply visiting doesn't send anything to third-party services.
Hosting logs
The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Like all hosting providers, Azure keeps standard, short-lived service logs (things like IP addresses and request details) for security and operations. We don't use those logs to identify visitors.
If you email us directly
Email sent to any of our addresses is kept as business correspondence in Microsoft 365, the same as a form enquiry.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as the conversation — and reasonable business record-keeping — requires. If you'd like something deleted, ask; unless we have a legal or operational need to keep it, we will.
Access, correction and complaints
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). To ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or raise a concern, email webmaster@decait.com.au and a real person will get back to you promptly.
Changes
If how we handle information changes, this page will change with it, along with the date at the top.
